Built for adventure: New 2026 Nissan Pathfinder boasts enhanced technology, ruggedly refined style
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Nissan revealed the new 2026 Nissan Pathfinder today with a bold design and enhanced technologies, reaffirming its role as the ultimate companion for family road trips, everyday commutes and spontaneous getaways.
Pathfinder will make its public debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show, from November 21-30.
Proudly assembled in the U.S. since 2004, Pathfinder continues to empower families to explore more, connect more and do more of what they love. The refreshed Pathfinder is an integral step in the Re:Nissan recovery plan, contributing to a revitalized product portfolio with an exciting, diverse vehicle lineup and a relentless focus on customer satisfaction.
The 2026 Nissan Pathfinder is offered in S, SV, Rock Creek, SL and Platinum grades and will reach dealerships in early 2026.
Bold design with a strong, adventurous stance
For the 2026 model year, Pathfinder sports updated front and rear fascias and satin exterior badges, plus a stunning new color, Baltic Teal. Within the cabin, a restyled dashboard includes a larger standard touchscreen and embossed “PATHFINDER” lettering below the infotainment system.
Pathfinder SL and Platinum grades also switch from silver to black roof rails. On Platinum, additional design enhancements such as a new 20-inch wheel design, new seat quilting patterns and wood-tone trim add extra refinement.
New technology that helps make every drive more convenient
The new 2026 Pathfinder adds more standard and available technology to support driver focus and connectivity. The enhancements begin with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system on all grades, featuring newly standard wireless Apple CarPlay® and wireless Android Auto™. SL grade now features a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.
A redesigned wireless device charger offers faster, more consistent charging performance. It features a cooling fan to help reduce heat build-up as a device charges, and magnetic phone positioning helps keep compatible devices in the optimum position when charging. Its maximum power delivery has increased from five to 15 watts.
Pathfinder’s class-exclusive available HD Intelligent Around View Monitor1 (Rock Creek, SL and Platinum grades) is upgraded to include two innovative camera systems that help drivers more confidently park and avoid hazards. Front Wide View2 provides a 180-degree view to the front and sides of the vehicle, helping look past parked cars or see out of obscured garage entrances. Invisible Hood View3 provides a virtual view “through” the vehicle’s hood and engine bay, helping drivers more precisely position the vehicle’s wheels for navigating car wash tracks, drive-through curbs and other similar situations.
Spacious three-row cabin with flexible seating, generous cargo room
Pathfinder has ample room for both people and cargo, with three rows of seating for eight passengers, or seven passengers with available second-row captain’s chairs. The second row of seats conveniently tips forward to provide easier access to the third row. Using Nissan’s LATCH AND GLIDE® technology, the second-row seats can tip and slide even with a child safety seat installed4.
The spacious cargo area has 16.6 cubic feet of storage behind the third row5, expanding to 80.5 cubic feet with the second and third rows lowered. SV, Rock Creek and SL grades have a power liftgate; Platinum has a motion-activated power liftgate.
Confident capability for the everyday and adventure alike
The new 2026 Pathfinder features a proven, responsive 3.5-liter V6 engine rated for 284 horsepower and 259 lb-ft of torque. The nine-speed automatic transmission includes paddle shifters to give drivers more control. Idle stop start is standard and can be switched off at the push of a button.
Pathfinders with Intelligent 4x4 (available on all grades; standard on Rock Creek) include a rotary drive-mode selector dial with seven options to customize the vehicle’s performance to varied terrain: Auto, Eco, Tow, Sport, Sand, Mud and Rut.
Pathfinder has a standard towing capacity of 3,500 pounds6. Rock Creek and Platinum grades, and SV Premium package or SL Premium package, upgrade that to an impressive 6,000-pound capacity.
Pathfinder Rock Creek: For bolder journeys
The Nissan Pathfinder continues to offer its ruggedly capable and strikingly designed Rock Creek grade. Equipped for heading off-pavement with an off-road-tuned suspension, a lifted ride height and all-terrain tires, Rock Creek stands apart from other Pathfinder models with a unique front bumper and grille, LED fog lights, a tubular roof rack, Rock Creek-specific leatherette seats and Lava Red interior stitching elements.
New for 2026, a Rock Creek Premium package stacks on additional comfort and convenience, including a panoramic moonroof, wireless phone charging, a 12-volt power outlet in the cargo area and a heated steering wheel.
Safety and driver assistance technology that provides reassurance
Standard Nissan Safety Shield® 3607 on all grades, as well as class-exclusive Intelligent Forward Collision Warning8, gives Pathfinder drivers additional confidence on the road. To make road trips simpler and more convenient, SV grade and higher feature ProPILOT Assist7 and Intelligent Cruise Control7, which help handle acceleration, braking and steering in freeway driving.
2026 Pathfinder has a NHTSA 5-Star Overall Safety Rating, in line with Nissan's commitment to engineering vehicles that prioritize safety, quality and real-world performance.
