Safety Guide for Replacing a Flat Tire

Before attempting to change a flat tire on your vehicle, ride the rim if needed to get out of the way of any oncoming traffic. Use the tire lug wrench to loosen the nuts on the flat tire only a single turn. Now it is safe to jack up your vehicle until that flat tire has cleared the road. Loosen and remove all the lug nuts now, then carefully pull off the flat tire and set aside.

Place the spare tire on the lug bolts, secure with the lug nuts only a few turns until the tire is straight to the brake rotor. Now lower the car down and then you can tighten the lug nuts all the way. Place all your tools, the flat tire, and jack in the trunk and get to a service station.

Bring your vehicle to Nissan North so our team can inspect the treads on the tires for any concerns.
